Tie Bars for Two Platen Injection Molding Machine

For two-platen injection molding machine, tie bars are assembled for supporting and aligning the platens, which then support the mold. The space between the tie-bars limits the size of the mold that can be placed in the injection molding machine.

One of the primary benefits of using a two-platen design is increased mold opening stroke, which is achieved by separating the two platens when the mold opens. This design also enables larger molds to be used, which in turn allows for the production of larger parts. However, this increased functionality puts additional stress on the tie bars, which must be able to withstand the large forces associated with the machine's increased clamping force.

To ensure reliable performance, tie bars must be manufactured to exacting standards, made from high-quality materials, and precisely measured and machined. Blanking -> Peeling -> QT -> Rough Turn -> Qualitative -> Semi-extrative Turning -> Qualitative -> Fine Turning -> Ablation -> Nitriding -> Grinding -> Nitriding - Teeth Cutting  -> Polishing to Finished Products

Material: 42CrMo

Diameter: Φ50 - 600mm

Length:1,000 - 10,0000mm

Nitriding layer thickness: 0.2mm

Surface hardness: >/= 55HRC

Chrome Plated Tiebars

Blanking -> Peeling -> QT -> Rough Turn -> Qualitative -> Fine Turning -> Ablation -> Polishing -> Chrome Plating -> Teeth Cutting -> Polishing to Finished Products

Material: 42CrMo or 42Cr

Chrome Plating layer thickness: 0.02 - 0.08mm
