Product Introduction

DW-S3 Bimetallic Screw for Plastic with Less 20% Corrosive and Reinforced Additives

DW-S3 uses cobalt-base alloys, which is good for processing engineering plastics with less than 20% corrosive and reinforced additives.

Cobalt element has various characteristics, including high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high strength, and ferromagnetism. Cobalt can maintain high strength at high temperatures and has low thermal and electrical conductivity. In addition, cobalt is a silver gray, glossy, hard and brittle metal with a melting point of about 1495 ℃, a boiling point of about 2870 ℃, and a relative density of 8.9g/cm ³ 34. Cobalt is relatively stable in air at room temperature, but begins to oxidize above 300 ℃. Cobalt has relatively stable chemical properties and usually does not react with water. It is also very stable in humid air. But under heating conditions, cobalt can react with elements such as chlorine, oxygen, and sulfur to produce corresponding cobalt salt products. Cobalt is a amphoteric metal that can be dissolved in dilute acids or passivated in concentrated nitric acid.
